The Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP) is run in partnership with the

Whistler Public Library and Whistler Community Services Society.

The program was introduced to help low income people and families get their taxes done – free of charge.

  • Need help in getting your taxes done?

    The CVITP is available to single people making $35,000 or less or families/couples making $45,000 or less.

    Volunteers are only trained to complete simple tax returns and cannot help you if your tax return involves self-employment, rental income, capital gains, or complex investments.

  • Are you interested in volunteering for the program?

    We are always looking for more volunteers to join our trained CVITP team. Volunteering for the CVITP is a great way to give back to your community, meet new people, and learn new skills. At the end of the program, get a Certificate of Appreciation, issued by CRA, to add to your resume.

    You do not need to be an expert in filing Tax Return. We provide you with all the training you need in fun and friendly workshops so you are prepared to complete simple tax returns.
