Around the World Comfort Foods

Comfort food is more than just a meal – it's a connection to our past, our culture, and our community. Our global Monthly cooking journey brings together the recipes, traditions, and stories that make us feel at home, wherever we are.

This Month’s Comfort food is Moroccan Couscous, a traditional North African dish made with steamed semolina grains (couscous) topped with a flavorful stew of meat (like lamb, chicken, or beef), and a mix of vegetables such as carrots, zucchini, potatoes, and chickpeas. It's typically seasoned with warm spices like cumin, cinnamon, turmeric, and ginger. The dish is hearty, aromatic, and often served at Lunch every Friday!

How does this work?

We supply all materials and ingredients. The volunteer chef guides everyone, and everyone participates - no cooking skills needed!
