The Community Volunteer Income Tax Program

Do YOU qualify for FREE help filing your low income, simple tax return? The Community Volunteer Income Tax Program is back with an EXTRA session added!

Those eligible for the FREE tax clinics include:

- Single Person – made up to $40,000

- Couple (Married or Common Law) – made up to $60,000

- Plus $10,000 for each additional dependent

Clinics are operating on the following days:

March 14, 28 and April 11, 25

At the Whistler Public Library

From 12:30pm – 4:00pm

April 20

At Whistler Community Services Society

From 11:00am – 2:30pm

Half hour sessions are available by APPOINTMENT ONLY, no drop-ins. Registration info below.

Individuals filing must bring at least one piece of photo ID, all tax slips (including T4’s, T3’s, T5007) and medical expenses. Participants with RRSP's should bring last year’s Notice of Assessment.

For those who are filing as a married or common law couple: BOTH parties need to be present and book 2 consecutive half hour time slots.

Who is Eligible (What counts as a simple return)?:

Workers

Students

Seniors

Social assistance recipients

Disability recipients

Work permit holders

NOT eligible for clinics:

Self employed persons

Persons who have rental or investment income

Bankrupt persons

Returns filed for deceased persons

Persons who own foreign property
